I took the kids and our neighbor, Claire, to Hemker Zoo one beautiful afternoon in August. They had a fun time checking out all the animals and feeding the birds and the giraffe. My friend Kelsey met up with us at the zoo. It was wonderful to see her and catch up a bit.
